MysteryGrams - History

I began syndicating a MysteryGrams panel in 1990 to newspapers and magazines. In 1996, I created the MysteryGrams TV Game Show based on that original panel series, and I also developed a play-at-home version of that MysteryGrams TV Game Show. In 2006, I created the solitaire version of MysteryGrams. In 2008, I made the solitaire version a C# program instead of the original Java.

The solitaire version does not include the "rapid round" from the TV Game Show, because there is no competition between two contestants. In the TV Game Show, you must first get past the "rapid round" before you even go to the Big Board to solve the MysteryGrams.

The solitaire version takes you directly to the Big Board to solve the puzzle. All of the original 90 MysteryGrams are included in the program. MysteryGrams solitaire provides hours of fun alone, or you can let the guests at your next party take turns playing it.

The rules are easy. Clues are revealed one at a time on the Big Board. You must guess BOTH the sender of the message and the receiver of the message. Guessing just one will not win. You must guess BOTH.

In the MysteryGrams TV Game Show, you have to win 3 rounds to win a match, but in the solitaire version you can play as you go. So, have fun!
